## Anyverse — Founding Software Engineer

Built university discovery and a fine-tuned AI statement reviewer for international applicants, used by 4,400+ students in 104 countries.

- Founding engineer and sole technical owner: the product, the API, the data pipelines, the AI systems, the infrastructure and the internal tooling.
- Shipped a personal statement reviewer powered by a model fine-tuned on our own expert reviewers' feedback — over 3,100 reviews delivered, with nearly 23,000 inline comments.
- Built a personalised course search engine over aggregated UK admissions and rankings data, and migrated the platform from Next.js on Vercel to TanStack Start on Cloudflare Workers.

## Afinity — Software Engineer

2023-05 – 2025-03

Built and ran course discovery and human-reviewed AI statement feedback for UK university applicants as the sole engineer.

- Sole engineer across nearly two years: the product, the Python API, the data pipelines and the internal tooling — used by more than 2,300 students in the 2023/24 admissions cycle.
- Shipped an AI-assisted personal statement review service — a multi-pass GPT-4 pipeline that generated inline feedback for human reviewers to refine in a purpose-built annotation dashboard.
- Operated the platform in production from launch in 2023 through to early 2025, evolving it across three platform generations — AWS Lambda, Cloudflare Workers, and finally Supabase.
